Renovation and restoration...

This side-bar surry had been in the same family for 85 years and needed a total restoration. It was the carriage of choice to carry the Grand Marshal of the 2012 Ashland Holiday Parade. Randy says it is one of the smoothest riding carriages in his collection.

This late 1800s Rockaway, although still solid, had been painted black. As Randy stripped away the paint, he discovered the carriage's true colors and replicated them. Except for the seat bottom, the upholstery is original and the running gear just needed painting.

This 19th century McLaughlin Rumble Seat Trap needed major restoration. Randy stripped the carriage to bare wood and replaced what was rotted and broken. He painted the carriage and replaced the upholstery to match the original.
